In the mid-1950s, Denis Pantis, the son of Greek immigrants, became obsessed with rock ’n’ roll. His dream was to be the next Elvis, but instead he became Quebec’s most important record producer of the 1960s. Jukebox looks back on the career of “the king of the 45.” A new generation of stars, producers, musicians and lyricists emerged alongside him, establishing an independent recording industry unparalleled anywhere in the world.

The plot is focused around three women in an old tavern, famous for its jukebox that was left over to the landlady by her husband when he went on a trip from which he never returned. There is also a spinster-turned-alcoholic because her fiance left her, as well as a young waitress who is waiting for her own fiance but has the impression that she will remain alone like these two. Various new men enter their lives, and in many different ways they destroy the memory of those who left them or contributed to their situation.

Siblings Lumi and Talvi are separated as children. In search of her sister, Lumi ends up in Elfland, where elves prepare Christmas presents for all the children of the world. The elves are initially suspicious of the human child who appears out of nowhere, but Pyry, an elf boy, welcomes Lumi with interest. Pyry is eager for new adventures and his friendship with Lumi looks like a chance for an exciting journey.

The children's world includes as much brutality as the world of adults. Filmmakers Andres Maimik and Jaak Kilmi study the cases of the following kids: Kätlin, Märt, Marek and Indrek. All of them have experienced more violence in their own way than most of the kids of their age. The film brings the viewer to a sad journey to the hidden and traumatic zone in society. The filmmakers try to talk to the children, parents and teachers about the subjects that are often referred to only in abstract ways.

Another holiday season is over, and joy still blankets the land - that is, until Santa's beloved Christmas tree goes missing! Enter Bingle, Jingle, Tingle, Dorabelle, and Cheer - the E.L.F. Detective Agency to save the day!
